The Killing Antidote* is a suspenseful third-person action survival game with a satisfying mix of shoot ’em up, stealth action, puzzles, exploration and horrific creatures, set in the heart of a city ravaged by a bio-organic catastrophe.
Players take on the role of the inquisitive investigative reporter, Jodi, desperate to uncover the antidote that will finally stop the plague that’s destroying humanity. Each mission will see you traverse across contaminated areas such as deserted research facilities, overrun buildings, ruined city blocks and even the contaminated laboratory in the center of town where the infection all began.
Exploring plays a huge role, and is the main reason for discovering not only limited supplies but pieces of vital clues to help decipher the devastating outbreak from the various documents and surrounding environment. The environments itself offer a challenge for Jodi and can help to lead her way towards a better equipped, or even, in this particular instance, toward the brutal reality.
The detailed game worlds and atmospheric lighting, combined with the chilling soundtrack, create a deep and immersive atmosphere of dread, and Jodi can be customized with a wide range of outfits that are unlocked throughout her adventures.
