Inside the Backrooms For PC is a thrilling and spooky first-person horror game that provides an incredible gaming experience and leaves you with lasting memories. Players find themselves stranded in the confusing and infinite depths of the Backrooms where there is nothing but dark and narrow hallways, empty rooms, and monstrous entities. From the get-go, there is a chilling sense of helplessness, fear, and confusion.
So much of the game’s thrill comes from the blend of exploration, puzzles and survival horror that comes packed into this game. While exploring the various levels I was constantly in search for clues and objects to aid me and solve the puzzles scattered throughout whilst keeping an eye out. The enemies are completely unpredictable which only raises the tension of every trip as they could be encountered at any time. Sound is also a contributing factor as the random creaking of footsteps and spooky noises throughout the game help amplify the intensity.
One of the best parts about Inside the Backrooms is that you can play it with your mates. This allows the experience to become rather comedic and more enjoyable as you can team up with your friends to complete the puzzles and survive the horrifying creatures. This can also provide much more chaotic and amusing moments where you have lost your friends and panicked.
As a whole, Inside the Backrooms has achieved a perfect mix of horror, exploration, puzzles and co-op play with its unsettling environments and horrific creatures keeping you on your toes for the entirety of your trip. This is a game that any horror fan would highly recommend.
