Frostpunk For PC is a gripping city-building and strategy game where players are tasked to survive in a post-apocalyptic world covered by ice which is ruled by an eternal winter. As the governor, you have to build a city to shelter the last surviving population around a powerful generator. Resources, building dwellings, collecting food, using fuel and taking care of the sick.Each action you take has repercussions, and nothing is ever secured in the fight for survival.
When the cold continues to worsen, you must expand your city and discover new technology, while also issuing ordinances. Your people and even society are under your control; and the choices you make will undoubtedly determine the fate of your civilization, and ultimately have an impact on their survival, hope, and morale throughout your entire experience.
I think it is such a unique combination of both city simulation and narrative andmoral quandaries; whether to optimize and build what will benefit you the most at a specific moment, versus acting more compassionately toward those being impacted most by your decision. It’s such an interesting game to play.
Visually, it creates and captures this isolation and haunting loneliness within a powerful atmosphere-accompanied by a driving soundtrack.
So I suppose it appeals to those of you that may enjoy the strategy, survival, city building, resource management, and difficult decision-making component the game has; and those who perhaps enjoy that type of experience in something as an individual experience.
