Assassin’s Creed Rogue information
Assassin’s Creed Rogue gives a new spin on the Assassin’s Creed saga with its lead role as Shay Patrick Cormac, an ex-Assassin who turns to become a Templar after a shattering act of betrayal. The Seven Years’ War-era, mid-18th century setting is used to explore the ethical dilemmas that the Assassins and Templars face throughout a dramatic and twisting plot filled with hard decisions, betrayal and eventually redemption, as the player embarks on a journey across the freezing North Atlantic, the River Valley and into colonial New York with its incredible visuals and ever-changing weather systems.
The gameplay mixes traditional stealth Assassin mechanics with addictive naval exploration and combat. Players commandeer Shay’s ship Morrigan in battles at sea, upgrading weapons as they battle enemy vessels, while exploring icy seas with hidden chests and naval enemies in a quest to discover the wealth of the North Atlantic and beyond. On land, Shay uses all of the traditional Assassin weapons he’s become accustomed to, along with powerful new Templar ones such as an air rifle, hand grenades and the traditional hidden blade, in order to stalk enemies and take them out silently, or confront them head-on.
The open world is filled with plenty of side-missions, hidden collectibles to find, enemy forts to capture and legendary ship battles, as well as the challenge of a variety of environmental threats to contend with.
It was the combination of the smooth parkour, intricate surroundings and upgraded graphics, that made it feel like a truly real, deep and authentic journey back in time. Combining an excellent new story, incredibly fun addictive gameplay and a fun little role reversal, it’s difficult to recommend Assassin’s Creed Rogue enough, an absolute must-have that offers fantastic exploration, action, stealth and naval gameplay.
